  • How can I book lessons?
  • What levels and ages do you teach?
I teach all abilities, from beginners to advanced professionals. I teach all ages. My youngest student is 9. For anyone under the age of 7, please get in touch to discuss lesson lengths and plan
  • Should I do online or in-person?
In-person singing lessons and online ones each offer unique advantages and considerations. In a 60-minute in-person singing lesson, the singer benefits from a dynamic, immersive experience. The coach provides immediate feedback, hands-on guidance, and physical adjustments to address technical aspects, performance nuances, and stage presence. The personal connection and real-time interaction foster a deeper understanding and connection with the voice. On the other hand, a 60-minute online singing lesson offers convenience and flexibility. It allows the singer to receive coaching from anywhere with an internet connection. Despite the absence of physical adjustments, the coach can still provide valuable feedback on vocal technique, interpretive choices, and performance skills. Effective communication, active listening, and clear demonstration are crucial in online lessons. The choice between in-person and online lessons depends on factors such as location, availability, and personal preferences. In-person lessons excel in providing immediate guidance and personalised attention, while online lessons offer convenience and the ability to receive coaching from a distance. Both formats can significantly contribute to the growth and development of the singer's vocal abilities.
  • Do I need to prepare anything for my first session?
I would recommend preparing 1 or 2 songs that you enjoy singing and would like to work on so we can get stuck in from the get-go.
  • How many lessons do I need?
The number of singing lessons a singer needs varies depending on factors such as skill level, goals, and dedication to practice. Beginners often benefit from a series of regular lessons to establish a foundation, while intermediate and advanced singers may continue lessons for ongoing skill development. The frequency of lessons can be adjusted based on specific needs and goals, with some singers opting for regular sessions and others seeking occasional guidance. Singing lessons are valuable at all levels for refining technique, maintaining vocal health, and nurturing artistic growth. It is recommended to consult with a vocal coach to determine the ideal lesson plan based on individual circumstances and aspirations.
  • 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour?
A 30-minute singing lesson is focused and condensed, addressing specific concerns and refining techniques. It provides targeted instruction and is suitable for limited time or specific areas of focus. A 45-minute lesson allows for a more comprehensive exploration of vocal aspects, while a 60-minute lesson offers an extensive experience with warm-up, exercises, repertoire, and performance practice. The choice depends on individual preferences, goals, and availability, allowing students to select the option that best suits their needs.
